The Sub-District Planning & Development Board, Bhandari, was held at the Conference Hall of the Summer House-Cum-Guest House, Bhandari on 13th August 2025.
MLA and Chairman SDPDB, Bhandari and Chairperson, Committee on Environment and Climate Change, Government of Nagaland, Achumbemo Kikon, who chaired the meeting reviewed agendas of previous meeting and welcomed new officers.
He also lauded the District Administration Bhandari, Border Magistrates of Uriamghat, Ralan and Border Magistrate Merapani, Nagaland, for their pro-active role in successful and peaceful joint conduct of eviction, within the Disputed Area Belt of Nagaland and Assam.
In its deliberation, the Board stated that installation of Police outposts and construction of Permanent Barracks at the State Borders to house companies in strategic areas would help secure and protect the state Borders.
To this effect, the house proposed for installation of Police Outpost at Tchujanphen and Lio-Longchum villages and to activate the approved Police Outpost at Ruchan Village.
Border Magistrate Uriamghat, and Border Magistrate Merapani, Nagaland briefed the house on the recently conducted eviction drive jointly carried out with their Assam counterpart.
Additional Deputy Commissioner and Vice Chairman SDPDB Bhandari, Longasen Lotha NCS reminded the sub division based head of departments to ensure compulsory attendance of their respective departmental staffs during the upcoming Independence Day Celebration.
