Kiphire District Planning & Development Board Meeting cum Orientation programme for the Adi Karama Yogi Abhiyan (AKA) was held at DC's Conference Hall, Kiphire on 17th September 2025. The meeting was held under the Chairmanship DC Kiphire, Temsuwati Longkumer.

Temsuwati extended a warm welcome to the board members present, and while reviewing the last meeting minutes spoked on registration of SHE - BOX Portal, Fumigation of Malaria and Dengue Prevention, and Implementation of PM Shakti in Kiphire said that, the Ministry has mandated the saturation of five key assets - School, Hospitals, Anganwadi Centres, Road and Water Pipelines. Therefore, the DC urged all concerned departments to ensure that these assets are accurately mapped and reflected on the Gati Shakti Portal which must be done on priority, and urged all departments to highlight their status to the MIS (Management Information System) team for monitoring.

EAC Kiphire, Takatemjen Pongen emphasized on the importance of Orientation Programme for Adi Karama Yogi Abhiyan; a Mission Driven Cadre for Tribal Affairs, government of India, which was earlier launched at the State level. He also highlighted that Adi Karama Yogi Abhiyan is a national movement to build a decentralised tribal leadership and governance ecosystem, spearheaded by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs.

Junior Soil & Water Conservation Officer, Shekimu H. Sumi; LDM Kiphire, Kevitsoto Stephen Chasie; ToT EBRC, Atsaba Sangtam; PD (DRDA), N. Kupto Achumi; ZPGC Principal, Dr. Phyobenthung; DPO (LRD) Department, P. Lipichem Sangtam also spoke in the programme.

Lily O. Ezung, (NSRDA) presenting DRDA Department and Shekimu H Sumi, (JSCO), Kiphire from Soil Conservation Department presented their departmental activities.

In the conclusion, the DC urged the RD department to take corrective measures to identify household without job cards in the villages, and also emphasized on the importance of maintaining proper records of beneficiaries under MGNREGA at the village level. He underscored the importance of transparency and accountability in the rural development programs, and also reminded the DPDB board members for the Grant Finale Miss Kiphire which will be held on 27th September 2025 at GHSS Auditorium, Kiphire.

The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks from the Chair.
