The NSS Cell, Yingli College, Longleng organised the Viksit Bharat Yuva Connect Programme 2025 in collaboration with the Department of Youth Resources & Sports, Government of Nagaland at Borgohain Hall on the theme “Emergency Period In India” on 6th August 2025. The event comprised the Debate Competition and the Youth Parliament and aimed to raise awareness about the Indian parliament and its impact on individuals and society. 

Assistant Professor Department of Sociology, Kiriahungle Haihing, chaired the programme and the welcome address was delivered by the Vice- Principal, Yingli College Dr. B. Henshet Phom. 

The resource person, District Sports Officer, Longleng, Kenongoto Thokhwe delivered an insightful session, highlighting the importance of Youth Parliament in India.

The winners of the debate competition were Chuthai L. Phom and P. Phangmei Phom while the winners of the District Youth Parliament Competition were Kehungngaule Haihing, Hentong Phom and Ladong Phom.

A total of 260 (two hundred and sixty) attendees, 240 NSS Volunteers, 19 Faculties and 1 resource person attended the event. The students and teachers of the college were apprised with the latest information of the Indian parliament.
