The 79th Independence Day of India was celebrated with rest of the country in Chozuba under Phek district of Nagaland with Member of Nagaland Legislative Assembly (MLA) and former Minister, Kuzholuzo Neinu, as the Special Guest at the Local Ground of Chozuba Town on 15th August, 2025.
The Special Guest hoisted the National flag and delivered the Independence Day speech.The receiving of the Rashtriya Salute, inspection of parade contingents and March past was followed by visitation of stalls by the Special Guest.
The parade contingents comprised of  Eastern Christian High School; GHS, Yoruba; NCC, GHSS, Chozuba; NCC, GHS, Japan Riba; GHSS, Chozuba and BSF 111 Bn. The parade commander was Posao Vero, ABSI, 5th NAP, Chozuba.
The attendees were enthralled a folk song by theYorubami Youth Association and special performance by Transcend Voice.
The exhibition stalls were opened by DIC, SDAO, NKVIB, GHSS Chozuba and Weaving & Handloom Society Training Centre (Chozuba).
The state lunch was served at GA Rest House. Government officials along with employees, students, frontier organisations and neighbouring villages joined the celebration.
Hoisting of the national flag was observed in the government offices and institutions.
