The 79th Independence Day was celebrated with patriotic fervour at the SDO (Civil)’s Office premises in Jakhama on 15th August 2025. The Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil), Jakhama, VineikhoTetso,(NCS) hoisted the National Flag and took the Rashtriya Salute from the 12th IR, led by UBI Joseph Zeliang, Officer-in-Charge of Khuzama Police Station. Tetso also delivered the Independence Day address.
The National Anthem was sung by the students of Government High School, Jakhama.
The function was chaired by Dr.MenguzenuoChielie. And it was attended by heads of offices, government staff, Dobashis, and students.
