A grand farewell programme in honour of outgoing Inspector General of Prisons, Imtiangshi Ao, who retired on superannuation after serving 35 years of Government Service, was organized at the Directorate of Prisons, Kohima on the 30th of July, 2025.
Director General of Prisons, Renchamo P. Kikon, IPS in his speech congratulated the outgoing officer on his retirement and said that I.G. Prisons, Imtiangshi Ao, served the department with sincerity and dedication throughout his entire service life. He always stood for the right decision and praised his humility that defined his leadership.
I.G. Prisons, Imtiangshi Ao, in his address encouraged the subordinate officers to work with dedication and strive to uplift the Prison condition in Nagaland.
The programme was chaired by Dy. Superintendent of Jail, Dr. Oben Yanthan, District Jail, Wokha while the Vote of thanks was delivered by A.I.G Prisons, K. Hamtok Phom,.
