In line with the Home Department’s work distribution for the upcoming 79th Independence Day Celebration, a coordination meeting was held on 28th July, 2025, at the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Kohima. Based on the resolutions of the meeting, various Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) have been entrusted with the responsibility of visiting designated institutions and homes across Kohima. In addition to the visitation, distribution of sweets will also take place at the Secretariat Parade Ground as part of the celebration.
