Pungro ADC headquarter celebrated the country's 79th Independence Day on 15th of August 2025, with S. Kiusumew Yimchunger, MLA & Advisor Home Guard & Civil Defence, Fire and Emergency Services, Relief & Rehabilitation, as the chief Guest at public ground Pungro.
The Chief Guest hoisted the National Flag, read out the Independence Day speech and took the Rashtriya Salute from 8th NAP Bn. 'C' Coy Pungro. The celebration concluded with the beating of retreat later in the evening.
