The 79th Independence Day celebration was celebrated at the Local Ground Aboi, Sub-Division, Mon on 15th August 2024 with Advisor for CAWD & Taxes, KudechoKhamo, as the Chief Guest.
Khamo on his arrival hoisted the National flag and received the Rashtriya Salute from different contingents followed by singing of the National Anthem by the students of GPS ‘B’ Aboi, after which he delivered the Independence Day speech.
Ten parade contingents took part in the March Past namely the 11th IR NAP, Aboi, VG contingent, Aboi, National Cadet Corps (NCC), Wangka High School, Paramount High School, Govt. Middle School, Longshang Memorial School, St. John School, Govt. Higher Secondary School and Emmanuel High School.
The highlights of the programme included a patriotic dance by Longshang Memorial School, Cultural Presentation by KU & KNSK, Aboi, Unit and choreography by El Shaddai School.
The celebration concluded with the inauguration and inspection of the exhibition stall by the Chief Guest.
