Niuland District celebrated the nation’s 79th Independence Day at Niuland Public Ground on 15th August 2025.
Minister for Higher Education and Tourism, Government of Nagaland, TemjenImna Along, hoisted the National Flag and took the Rashtriya Salute from 4 different contingents. The contingents were led by Parade Commander, Asstt. Commandant Haiding SAP.
Along, in his Independence Day speech, highlighted various achievements, challenges and undertaking of the state government.
The celebration also witnessed special cultural presentation from Old Showba Village.
Later, the Minister inaugurated the Exhibition Stalls that were put up by various departments in the district.
In the evening session, a football exhibition match was played between Administration & Police Vs HoOs of Niuland.
