The 79th Independence Day was celebrated at Bhandari, Wokha on 15th August 2025, with MLA & Advisor Industries & Commerce, Government of Nagaland, Hekani Jakhalu as the Chief Guest. She hoisted the National flag and delivered the Independence Day speech. And she also received the Rashtriya Salute from the7th NAP Bn Bhandari contingent, led by ABI, TiatemjenAo, 7th NAP Bn Bhandari.
In the programme, a special song was presented by APRO Bhandari, Lily Ngullie.
Later in the programme, the Chief Guest inaugurated stalls put up by Department of Agricultural, Department of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services, Sub-Divisional Industries centre (SDIC) Bhandari.
