The Department of Legal Metrology & Consumer Protection in collaboration with Mon Vale College organized Consumer Awareness Program on 23^rd September 2025 at Mon Vale College with a Theme “Legal Metrology and Consumer Protection: The journey towards Viksit Bharat 2047”.

Sr. Inspector LMCP Mon, Er. Nganyei Konyak, speaking on behalf of the Department mentioned about Consumer Rights’ as well as Responsibilities and challenged the students to be well equipped and make use of it. He also briefed on the Department's functions and activities as per Legal Metrology Act 2009, Packaged Commodity Rules nd Enforcement Rules. He later said that to make Visit Bharat 2047 mission of developed, empowered and inclusive possible.

 Asst. Professor, Yongkai Y Phom, chaired the programme. The programme began by invocation from Ex-Deaconess KBCM, Toihon. Principal Mon Vale College, Dr. Eche Wangnyu Konyak, in her welcome note gave thanked to the Department for organizing such an event at the institute which is the need of the hour and said it is through awareness one can bring a change.
