As part of the nationwide Adi Karmayogi Abhiyan Responsive Governance Programme under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, the District-Level Orientation and District Process Lab commenced in Wokha from 24th to 26th September 2025 at VDB Hall, Wokha Town. The programme is a key component of the national mission to build a Viksit Bharat by 2047, with a cadre of 2 million committed change leaders working toward inclusive and transformative governance.
The training brought together officials and officers from various line departments, with subject-matter trainers facilitating sessions aimed at enhancing responsive governance and grassroots leadership.
In his address, Deputy Commissioner Wokha, Vineet Kumar IAS, highlighted the strategic importance of the initiative. He mentioned that 35 Block Master Trainers will be trained during the programme,who will then carry forward their work across 53 selected villages in Wokha district. These trainers will play a pivotal role in catalyzing development at the village level.
Key objectives of the programme include, fostering transformative leadership at the grassroots, charting out five-year vision plans for targeted areas, identifying local challenges and co-creating solutions, strengthening inter-departmental collaboration for effective service delivery, promoting citizen-centric governance and inclusive development
The Adi Karmayogi Abhiyan aims to empower tribal communities by embedding ethical leadership, participatory planning, and sustainable development practices into the administrative framework. Through this initiative, Wokha District joins the national journey toward building a more equitable, accountable, and visionary Bharat.
