On the occasion of the 10th Ayurveda Day, Medical Officer (Ayurveda), CHC Yachem, Dr. Visino Nakhro, visited the Herbal Garden at PBCA Lempong and the Herbal Garden at Yingli College, Longkongkang Campus, Longleng on 23rd September 2025.
Observed under the theme “Ayurveda for People & Planet”, the programme aims to create awareness on the importance of Ayurveda in modern times. Dr. Visino Nakhro, interacted with the student community, emphasizing the significance of Ayurveda and the vital role of Herbal Gardens in preserving India’s rich medicinal heritage.
She highlighted the need for conservation of endangered medicinal plants, promotion of exotic species, and sustainable use of commonly available plants in our surroundings. The discussions also stressed how herbal resources contribute not only to health promotion but also to environmental conservation, ensuring a holistic approach to well-being.
