In preparation for the upcoming Independence Day celebration, a mass social work was organized at District Headquarter, Peren, on 8th August 2025, starting from 9:00 AM onwards. The initiative was spearheaded and closely supervised by the District Administration as part of the district-wide preparations for the national event.

Officers and staff from various government departments actively participated in the cleanliness drive, which focused on clearing overgrown vegetation, cleaning clogged drains, and undertaking general sanitation and beautification activities in and around their respective office premises and assigned locations. The effort was aimed to ensure a clean and welcoming environment ahead of the upcoming Independence Day celebration.

To ensure accountability and coordination, strict attendance of all participating officials and staff was recorded and subsequently submitted to the Officer-in-Charge of the social work, EAC Peren, Donan Yimchunger.

The District Administration extends its appreciation to all departments for their proactive participation and commitment to community cleanliness and civic responsibility.
