The 79th Independence Day was celebrated at the Local Ground of Zunheboto Town on 15th August, 2025 .
Advisor, Minority Affairs & Sericulture, Imkongmar graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. He inspected the parade, hoisted the National Flag, and delivered the Independence Day speech, highlighting the significance of the day and the progress made by the nation.

The event featured a total of 3 parade contingents, led by Parade Commander, Assistant Commandant, Imlisunup Ao, 8th NAP BN, Naltoqa Parade with secone-in-command, UBI G. Blesto Zhimomi, Parade CHM Havildar NishetoChishi, 8th NAP BN.
The participating parade contingents were as follows: DEF Zunheboto- ABSI M. Mongothung Lotha; 8th NAP BN- ABSI KamughaSema; Ex- Servicemen- Havildar Kiyeho Sema.
The event was attended by various HoOs and their staff.
