A two-day Radio Frequency (RF) Workshop, organised by Sennheiser in collaboration with the Task Force for Music and Arts (TaFMA) and Audio Garage, was held on 11th and 12th September 2025 at the Conference Hall, Hotel Acacia, Dimapur.
The workshop featured intensive training sessions along with practical demonstrations on advanced wireless audio systems, it also covered a wide range of topics, including RF fundamentals and principles, the Digital 6000 Microphone System, 2000 Series In-Ear Monitoring System, Evolution Wireless Digital Series (EWD and EW-DX), Neumann MCM, Wireless Systems Manager (WSM), and Audio Gain Staging.
The participants were given hands-on exposure to the latest equipment, including live product demonstrations, followed by a detailed interactive session. The sessions were conducted by Trainer Suman Thakur from Sennheiser, who guided the participants through both theoretical concepts and technical applications.
Altogether, about 35 participants, including entrepreneurs, representatives from private organisations, church organisations, the Directorate of Information and Public Relations, and TaFMA, attended the workshop
Addressing the participants before the distribution of certificates, former Project Director of TaFMA, GugsChishi, highlighted the importance of carrying forward the legacy and intricacy of music as an art and profession. He stressed that while technology continues to evolve; challenges such as technical glitches are natural in the course of events and should be approached with calmness and professionalism. He further emphasized that the music industry is a continuous journey towards growth and excellence, and engaging effectively with audiences is essential for sustaining its vibrancy. Appreciating the youthful presence, he described them as the backbone of the music industry and encouraged them to remain committed to their craft.
The programme also included a vote of thanks delivered by TaFMA Project Director, Hovithal Sothu, who expressed gratitude to Atsung Jamir, Proprietor of Audio Garage; Trainer Suman Thakur; and Rajib Biswas, Zonal Sales Manager (East India, Bangladesh, and Bhutan), Sennheiser, for their support and contributions in making the workshop a success.
