In Tobu Sub-Division of Mon District, the 79th Indian Independence 2025 was celebrated with MLA, Imtichoba as the Chief Guest on 15th August 2025, at Local Ground, Tobu, Mon with a great patriotic fervour and enthusiasm.
The entire town was adorned with the National Flag as the Government offices, educational institutions, business establishments and households proudly hoisted the tricolour at their respective offices and residents.
The Chief Guest hoisted the National Flag and took the Rashtriya Salute from the parade contingents of 6th NAP, Village Guard of Tobu Village, Newman Higher Secondary School, Beijing High School, Government Higher Secondary School, and Government Middle School of Tobu Village. The Chief Guest also inaugurated the exhibition stalls displayed by the Government departments, local artisans and entrepreneurs showcasing rich handicrafts, agricultural products and traditional items.
A vibrant patriotic drill display was presented by Zealous Club, Tobu Town. A football exhibition match played between ADC – XI and Sey-Ong Club and a National Anthem led by Beijing High School, Tobu town were the highlights of the programme.
