Bhandari Sub-division held its monthly SDPDB meeting at the conference hall of the Summer House-Cum-Guest House, Bhandari, Wokha on 16th October 2025.
SDO (C) Bhandari, Arhomo Yanthan, NCS chairing the meeting reviewed the last DPDB meeting minutes. Er. Elithung Ovung, SDO PWD (R&B), Bhandari Sub-division, informed the house that construction of 3 (three) bridges have been completed at the Nagaland Foothill Road, while the other 2 more bridges are under construction.
Deliberating on the previous agenda on the upscaling of Baghty Sub-treasury to function as the centre of Bhandari Division for financial transactions of Government Departments by empowering them with drawing and disbursing officers (DDOs), the Chairperson urged the departments to write representations to their respective head of departments for further necessary actions on the matter.
In the meeting Dr. Kikali G. Sumi, Veterinary Assistant Surgeon (VAS) Quarantine Check Post, Merapani informed that suspected African Swine Fever which was first reported in the month of August 2025, has been brought under control. She also informed that no new cases of outbreak are reported currently, and advised the district administration to lift the ban imposed for the interest of the public. She further appealed to the public to remain vigilant and to report any symptoms or cases of suspected African Swine Fever to the competent department without further delay.
Nzanbeni N. Jami, SDO Soil & Water Conservation, Dr. Caroline, Senior Medical Officer, CHC Bhandari, and Dr. Kikali G. Sumi submitted their action taken report on the Aspirational Blocks Villages under Bhandari, and briefed the house on the on-going activities.
