The Kohima Village Council (KVC) Chairman, Dr. Neiphi Kire and Secretary KVC, Zeneizo Rutsa has issued 'No objection for burial of COVID-19 victims' stating that the decision was taken in an emergency meeting held at KVC Panchayat Hall on 26th April 2020.

In view of the lockdown due to COVID-19, the Director, Technical Education, Er. Arjun Singh has informed all the intending candidates that the last date of form submission for both Nagaland State Entrance Examination (NSEE-2020) and Diploma Entrance Examination (DEE-2020) for the session 2020-21 has been extended till further order.

Additional Deputy Commissioner, Bhandari Tiameren Chang has issued an order for all the villages under sub-division Bhandari in Wokha District.

The order stated that the information has been received from the Department of Animals Husbandry and veterinary services, Government of Nagaland on reported occurrence of swine fever disease in Assam state of Jorhat and Sibsagar District.

The pandemic occurring at the onset of kharif season and just as harvesting of the Rabi crops was ongoing; brought the agricultural activities in the field to a grinding halt.

“A total of 613 samples of suspected cases have been sent for testing from the State up till 3:00pm today. The results of all these samples have been received and all are negative. Presently a total of 36 persons are under Facility Quarantine.
